This role will be responsible for meeting and exceeding team sales targets. The manager will need to utilize systems to monitor and analyze sales statistics and the customer daily and provide timely and pertinent information to anticipate the market and make quick decisions. The role must also be able to execute the following;

  • Budget setting
  • Regular monitoring against roadmap to ensure staff meet set targets

The following will form part of the job function 

  • Implements support structures for ensuring optimal target achievement for team member and personal growth
  • Communicates job expectations clearly with support to address gaps.
  • Planning, monitoring and reviewing of team members performance
  • Builds customer loyalty by actively seeking to understand the customer’s needs and providing relevant product solutions
  • Assists the customer to maximize their exposure for mutual benefit
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence, integrity and ethical behavior
  • Ensures that representatives respond to customer concerns with a sense of urgency and follow-through
  • Identifies activities and assignments necessary for managing the canvass
  • Prioritizes between urgent and important critical sales activities
  • Determines the requirements for processing canvass by breaking them down into tasks and identifying materials, equipment and people needed to achieve this
  • Ensure efficient co-ordination of activities in order to meet objectives
  • Manages time effectively in order to achieve daily call rates, targets and deadlines
  • Generates reports and reviews of sales, with emphasis on clear forecasting

Knowledge and Experience 

Minimum 3 years telesales experience in media sales plus 2-3 years sales management experience an advantage

 

Qualifications

  • Matric
  • Degree/ diploma and / or equivalent which encompasses business strategy would be an advantage
